Add Linked/shared clips (for song mode)

To really make the song mode useful it should be possible to not only duplicate clips (into/within it), but to be able to link(-ed duplicate) them aswell (like drum tracks typically have repeating sections that need to be copy pasted otherwise). This means that a clip that is linked into multiple locations will adapt everywhere whenever the source clip changes.
This is necessary because currently all occurrences of a clip in a song need to be manually deleted and the source clip duplicated into their places again whenever one wants to make some adjustments to it which is unnecessarily tedious.

This is like "aliases" in logic pro. Create a clip, then create aliases of that clip in other song sections. The alias contains no data, but just refers to the originating clip. If you edit the originating clip, all the aliases change as well. Love this idea.

Fully agreed! I have been able to do that normally in most of my used sequencer software on PCs, Mac, Atari ST’s and Amiga 500 since the mid 1980s.
Standard song building abilities for quickly building song ideas, over the last 40 years with MIDI.
Sorry if I seem strong on this, but I really do like Sand’s potential for creating:
- Standard build type songs
- experimental / drone / happy and dark ambient pieces
Far, FAR more than these other sequencers I have:
- all, within Mi-Rack (Love Mi-Rack otherwise.)
- Drambo
- mKer
- Korg Gadget V2 (due to poor external sync, with all iPad Korg)
- all, non-song based sequencers
